Even though PodCamp Ohio is this Saturday, things kick off this Thursday night on the live Doctor Anonymous podcast followed by Ignite Columbus 3 Friday evening.
Doctor Anonymous (link: http://www.doctoranonymous.com) will be hosting the PodCamp Ohio Pre-PodCamp Kickoff Party this Thursday night from 9-11pm. Everyone is welcome to attend this live on-line podcast. Speakers, volunteers and organizers are encouraged to come to discuss their sessions and PodCamp. You can listen and chat live on BlogTalkRadio or call into the show at 646-716-9514.
Construction season in Central Ohio has started, so please be extra careful while traveling to Columbus this weekend. More importantly, route 315 near OSU Campus has some lane and exit ramp closures. Columbus police are targeting the area for speeding, so please take extra caution if you are coming to PodCamp via route 315.

Approaching from Ohio Route 315
Take the Lane Avenue exit and go East (right turn if coming from the South, left turn if coming from the North). Continue on Lane Avenue about 1.2 miles. Turn right onto High Street. Approximately 0.5 mile on High Street you should come to the Ohio Union parking garage on your right.Approaching from Interstate 71
Take the 11th Avenue exit and go West (left turn if coming from the South, right turn if coming from the North). 11th Avenue will become a one way street about 0.6 mile, you will briefly turn right onto Grant Avenue then promptly turn left onto Chittenden Avenue. Continue on Chittenden Avenue approximtely 0.6 mile until you come to High Street. Turn right onto High Street. The Ohio Union Parking Garage will be about 0.3 mile on your left.

Following Ignite, everyone is welcome to the Park Street Patio (533 Park St Columbus, OH - Google Map). From 9-10pm. Park Street Patio will be giving Ignite attendees 2 cabanas with 10 free pitchers of beer and 5 free pizzas. Park Street Patio is located in the Arena District about 2 miles south of OSU campus.
PodCamp Ohio organizers and volunteers and speakers are encouraged to come to Mendenhall Laboratory from 5-8pm. Organizers and Volunteers are needed to setup the space, scope out the rooms and prepare event swag. Speakers are also welcome to check out their rooms.
We've reserved space at Baja Sol from 9pm to midnight for PodCamp Ohio attendees to gather for food and spirits. Baja Sol will have a Happy Hour for PodCamp Attendees from 9-11pm. If you are traveling from out of town or would like to network with other PodCampers the night before, this is the stop to make. Baja Sol (1803 Olentangy River Rd. Columbus, OH - Google Map) is located at the corner of Olentangy River Rd and Kinnear Rd in the Lennox Shopping Center.

All of the session rooms will have a projector as well as wired Internet access. Speakers who wish to use the wired Internet must bring their own network cables to plug-in.
Everyone is welcome to record sessions either in video and/or audio. Following PodCamp Ohio, please email media@podcampohio.com with your recordings linked (or attached if under 10MB) along with the title of the session and any notes if appropriate. We will post the session recordings on the PodCamp Ohio blog as we get them.
All content created must be released under a Creative Commons license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/). In a nutshell, anyone can record sessions, speakers must be attributed and the media must be non-commercial.
